ABOUT Cam,

I started my career shooting commercial and editorial fashion for magazines — drawn to the aesthetics, the pace, and the challenge of creating something striking. But over time, I wanted more purpose behind the camera. That pull led me into photojournalism, documenting protests, social movements, and eventually conflict zones around the world. The work was raw, emotional, and intensely human — and it reshaped how I see photography entirely.

Today, I bring that same depth and intuition into wedding photography.

My approach is quiet and intentional. I don’t insert myself into your day — I observe it, anticipate it, and preserve it. I focus on the genuine, unscripted moments. My style blends photojournalism with a subtle editorial edge, and I often deliver a mix of black and white and color — each image chosen for how it tells the story best.

I’m based in New York City and take on weddings locally and wherever the story leads — including Texas and beyond. I have a deep love for travel, and I’m especially drawn to destination weddings in unique and meaningful locations. The more unexpected the setting, the more excited I am to be there.

Whether your day is intimate or expansive, what matters most to me is creating images that feel honest, emotional, and entirely yours.

Let’s make something timeless.

FAQs

What is your photography Style?

Candid, documentary-driven, emotionally grounded; focused on real moments over staged ones. I move quickly and discreetly capturing details as they unfold and strive to create images that tell a story that you’ll want to relive over and over. I’ve developed a specialized style combining my magazine editorial experience with journalistic pursuits.

how many images do we RECEIVE?

On average, I deliver around 50 images per hour of coverage — sometimes more, sometimes a bit less, depending on the pace and flow of your day. That’s nearly a frame a minute, but every image is intentional. I don’t overshoot or hand off hundreds of filler shots — I photograph with purpose, curating a collection of meaningful moments rather than noise.

You won’t have to sift through an overwhelming number of near-duplicates or throwaways. Each photo is selected to hold emotional weight, visual impact, or story value — something you could frame, not just scroll past.

Will you direct us at all, or is it all candid?

While the majority of my work is documentary, I do offer gentle direction when it’s needed, especially for portraits. I have many years of posing and styling experience, but I want to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed, and sometimes a little guidance helps to capture your best moments. It’s always natural and low-pressure — nothing forced.

Are your photos Black and white?

My work leans heavily into black and white — typically around 70% of your final gallery — because I believe it’s one of the most powerful ways to convey emotion and preserve the integrity of a moment. Black and white imagery draws attention to people, expressions, and feeling, without the distraction of clashing colors or background noise. It’s timeless and intimate, allowing you to focus on the connection in each frame. The remaining color images are used thoughtfully, often to highlight the environment, scenery, or details where color adds to the atmosphere of the story.

That said, your wedding is uniquely yours — if you have specific preferences or needs when it comes to color photography, I’m always happy to discuss that with you in advance to make sure everything aligns with your vision.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I’m based in New York City but I’m available to travel for weddings anywhere. Whether you’re planning a destination wedding, an intimate elopement, or a larger celebration somewhere far from home, I’m excited to go where your story takes us. I frequently travel to San Antonio, Texas and offer specialized pricing for that area. If you believe your destination wedding is an area that would be desirable for me to visit please reach out with more details and pricing.

When will we get our photos?

While industry turnarounds often stretch to 8–12 weeks, I aim to deliver your full gallery within one month of your wedding. My documentary-style approach means I capture images with intention, not reliance on heavy post-production — and I only take on work I can give my full attention to, ensuring every client receives a high level of care.

You’ll also receive a sneak peek shortly after the wedding to hold you over, though those preview images may differ slightly from the final edits. If you have specific requests around retouching or final delivery, we’ll talk through that together to make sure everything feels right.

With a background in journalism and editorial photography, I’m trained to produce high-quality work quickly, without sacrificing the feeling or integrity of the moment.
